FREE PEOPLE VISION
A prophetic encounter — 2023
Once, in a vision, I found myself in a room filled with worship. A band called Free People was leading, and music lifted like incense into the air. Some were standing at the stage, others sat around the room, but all of us were caught in the flow of praise.
Then, suddenly, my eyes caught something unusual — a pair of brown sandals and the hem of a gray long garment. My heart knew immediately. Jesus had entered the room.
Before I could process it, He came and sat down right next to me. Joy surged through me, and I cried out, “Lord!” I tried to stand to embrace Him, but the weight of His glory fell upon me, and I collapsed under the power of His presence. Gently, He lifted me and set me beside Him.
Looking around, He said, “You see, all these people in the room can see Me as you do — except one.” He pointed to a person nearby. Confused, I responded, “But Lord, our eyes are all open.” He smiled and answered, “Yes, but it doesn’t mean everyone can see Me.”
In that moment, a question rose up within me, one I didn’t even know I had: “Is discernment grace?”
Jesus looked at me with that radiant smile and said, “Yes — it is. All is grace.”
And just like that, the vision closed, and I awoke.
Key Scripture
“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” — 1 Corinthians 2:14
“But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” — Hebrews 5:14
A Word for You
This encounter reminds us that spiritual sight is not the same as natural sight. Many can look, but not all can truly see. It takes grace — the gift of discernment — to recognize Jesus in our midst.
Beloved, do not be discouraged if others around you cannot see what you see. The Lord has opened your eyes by grace, not by effort. Treasure that gift, and use it to draw others into His presence. For where Jesus is, there is freedom — and only the free can truly see the Free One.
